ASM software tool to activate Cybord integration to test component analysis, counterfeit detection in production
With supply chain challenges, component shortages and the growing threat of counterfeiting, it has never been more important to know exactly what is assembled on each PCB. ASM has recognized this and, to help users, their latest software release allows for easy integration of Cybord’s AI-based software solution that provides online component counterfeit detection, qualification and analysis.
By design, Cybord uses the images already captured by the vision system in place just after taking a component. The images are processed using an advanced artificial intelligence algorithm that leverages a huge cloud-based database to analyze each component. All components are checked for authenticity, consistency, weldability, visual defects and evidence of tampering.
