Reporting to the MEP Design Manager, the Lift Package/Interface Manager will be responsible for lift work on HS2 S1 and S2 packages and will also cover the design interface role for the West and East areas, working closely with the the zone central interface.

Finalize Lift package procurement for S1 and S2

· Review Lift ITT scope prior to contract award to ensure all Lift requirements have been captured and costed.

· Liaise with HS2 Lift Manager during framework discussions, ensure best value for money is achieved through SCS sourcing.

· Ensure elevator proposals for Stage 2 are developed and aligned with other project functions and disciplines. Ensure proposals are cascaded and understood by the delivery team.

Prepare and implement the elevator delivery strategy for Stage 2 (including testing and commissioning), including obtaining all governance approvals

Manage the ECI Lifts subcontract throughout the design phase and conduct contract negotiations with the subcontractor(s) for delivery of the construction phase

Identify the Lift delivery team’s resource requirements to meet contract needs and work with the Project People team to recruit the necessary resources

Contribute to elevator related procurement including identification of long lead times and high risk packages and products to ensure delivery as per requirements

Ensure interfaces with the stakeholders concerned or identified and managed

Development and implementation of second stage mobilization activities for elevators

· Development and submission of construction phase plans for elevator works

· Support the MEP PD with MEP proposals for Stage 2 are developed and aligned with other project functions and disciplines. Ensure proposals are cascaded and understood by the delivery team.

Essential:

  • Experience in a similar level role responsible for elevator delivery including management, procurement, design, construction, testing, commissioning and handover.
  • A professional qualification or degree (or equivalent) in engineering or a related field
  • Strong leadership, communication and conflict management skills

Desirable:

  • Experience delivering elevator work on a major rail project
  • Experience with early contractor participation models and NEC contract forms
  • Knowledge of industry regulations for the design, construction, testing and commissioning of elevators.
  • Thorough knowledge of products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
  • Experience in a self-insurance contractual environment
