According to Google, “We’re working on Linux support—hang tight!”. That’s what they said 3 years ago anyways.
So where is Google drive support for linux?
Well they actually finally seem to be on the brink of releasing support for Linux very soon and this time its not all talk.
There is actual evidence via a screenshot of Google Drive running on Ubuntu:
This means that there is actual development for Linus support taking place.
But if you don’t want to wait for official support, there is a workaround. You can run a simple tool that will pull of your files from Google Drive account. This tool was created by a Google employee whom was working on the Google Drive project. So it’s probably the closest thing to official as you can get right now.
You can also forgo GD all together and go with Dropbox since they added support for Linux awhile back.
